Last week we heard from the ladies, now it’s time to find out what the lads are riding this season! This week I chatted to Will Brommelseik , Kyle Johnston and Coop to find out their picks for the 12/13 winter.

Will Brommelseik – Kirkwood Freeride Team
We’re stoked to welcome Will back to the Freeride Team for another winter and excited to see what this season has in store for him!

This year I’m excited to be riding a Steepwater by Arbor!! Steepwater’s strength combined with Arbor’s sustainable harvested lumber, makes for an environmentally friendly slay stick in heli and split models. Spark’s Blaze binders give me the response I crave. O’Neill’s Jones jacket and pants protect me from the elements, have pockets in all the right places and are made of 100% recycled polyester.

Kyle Johnston – Terrain Park Supervisor/Kirkwood Freeride Team
Kyle keeps busy as both our Terrain Park Supervisor and return Freeride Team member. This year he’s rocking K2 skis with Dalbello boots…

This year I’m happy be to riding the fun shred planks from a little ski company, K2!! I can’t wait to click into my Pettitors on the deep days, and the Iron Maiden for those days when a little park session is in order!  The other important piece to the shred equation would be dem good ol’ “space boots”…ski boots.  I ride the Dalbello Krypton Pro 2; I love the fit and flex of these boots, plus they’re my favorite color, green!

Coop – Director of Stoke
Our self proclaimed ‘Director of Stoke’ tells us what’s in his gear quiver for 12/13.

Ski’s – that’s a tough one so many good guns from all, personally I am rocking the Sideseth from K2 - the SIDESETH built with Powder Rocker is 147/118/135 a perfect addition to my quiver. Super playful in POW, versatile, a hard-charging plank that’s specialized for big mountain skiing. The slightly raised kick tail retains versatility and forgiveness in narrow, concave couloirs, while it also increases the ski’s utility as a tool. I’ll keep rock’n the Sidestash @139/108/127 for my everyday ski here @Kirkwood. Another one for thought for ya’ll is the Gunsmoke from Blizzard… An amazingly fun ski, a real cross-over ski from the freeride and freestyle worlds. A Flip Core 3D rocker comes together with a bamboo core, rounded off with a twin tip construction. Sidecut 140 / 114 / 130 mm with two lengths to choose from 179 / 186 cm. Stay Thirsty, Coop

And that’s what the boys are riding this season!
